Application
Steam Sterilization Indicator Labels are labels made from crepe paper or label paper as the base material, coated with color-changing ink as the sterilization indicator, and backed with pressure-sensitive adhesive. These labels are used for external chemical monitoring of steam sterilization packages. When sterilization conditions of 121°C for 20 minutes or 132°C for 3 minutes are achieved, the indicator stripe changes from light yellow to black, indicating whether the item has undergone sterilization processing and whether the sterilization conditions have been met. (Parameter requirements of 132°C for 4 minutes also exist.) The color change only indicates that the package has been subjected to sterilization processing and cannot be used as the sole basis for sterilization qualification. The labels allow for recording sterilization information such as the operator, expiration date, contents of the package, and sterilization cycle number. Types include single sheet indicator labels, roll-form indicator labels, and traceable indicator labels.
The label material includes single-backed synthetic paper (non-woodfree paper or woodfree paper), must comply with ISO/FDIS 11140-1 and GB 18282.1-2015 standards, and is water-resistant. Suitable for use in pre-vacuum, pulsed vacuum, or gravity displacement sterilizers, the shelf life is typically 24 months. The product is designed for use with traceability management systems. During use, precautions should be taken to avoid soaking by condensate, avoid sealed storage, avoid contact with plastic products, and prevent errors in the label date or item name, as well as label detachment.
