Water proof/ high temperature resistance
Spill coffee on it, leave it in the rain, or stick it in a freezer - the print won't smudge or fade, and the label stays stuck. Resists high soldering temperatures of 260–350°C without blistering or peeling; withstands corrosion from chemicals such as flux, soldering agents, and cleaners; some require anti-static (static dissipative) design to protect sensitive components.

Application
After flame retardant modification, PET material can meet the industry's recognized high-level flame retardant standards, which is the fundamental reason for its selection.
High level flame retardant certification can be achieved: Flame retardant PET labels can meet the requirements of UL 94 VTM-0 or VTM-1 grades. This is one of the highest levels of flame retardancy for plastic materials, which means that the material can self extinguish within 10 seconds in a vertical combustion test without any burning material dripping.
The flame retardant mechanism is clear and effective: pure PET flame-retardant labels it self is flammable (with a limit oxygen index LOI of about 20-22%), but its flame retardant performance can be greatly improved by adding halogen-free flame retardants such as phosphorus for modification. Its flame retardant mechanism is to promote the formation of a dense layer of graphitized carbon on the surface of the material during combustion. This layer of carbon can effectively isolate oxygen and heat, while suppressing droplet dripping, thereby preventing the spread of fire. After modification, the limit oxygen index (LOI) of PET can be increased to over 30%, even reaching 32.4%.
